SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Chabani Sonia is a chemistry teacher at the National School of Renewable Energies, Environment and Sustainable Development. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma (DES) in Organic Chemistry, obtained in 2003 from Hadj Lakhder Batna University. She also has a Magister’s degree in organic synthesis, obtained in 2009 from Hadj Lakhder Batna University. Between 2010 and 2017, she obtained a PhD in science, Organic Chemistry option at Batna 1 University and a University Habilitation (HDR) in Chemistry at Mohamed Boudiaf M’sila University. She is a member of the Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Chemistry (LCCE) at Batna University 1.

Her research focuses on the search for new biologically active molecules of plant origin that can be used in therapeutic and cosmetic applications. The methodology for the separation, isolation and purification of these active ingredients is chromatography. The structural determination of secondary metabolites is carried out using spectroscopic analysis methods (NMR, mass spectrometry, UV and IR)
